Charles Walter Middleton Sr., 84, of Coffeeville died March 29, 2013.
He was born March 11, 1929. He was a native of Mt. Vernon. He was a Korean Conflict Veteran having served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Coffeeville United Methodist Church. He had worked as a self-employed accountant. He was a member of the Alabama Accounting Association and the Alabama State Board of Accounting.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Woodham Middleton, Coffeeville; two sons, Charles W. (Linda) Middleton Jr., Michael (Linda) Middleton, all of Jackson; two brothers, Earl Middleton, Mt. Vernon, Ronald Middleton, Citronelle; five grandchildren, Melissa Middleton, Melanie Middleton Caldwell, both of Mobile, Brian M. Middleton, Brandon C. Middleton, both of Birmingham, Blake R. Middleton, Jackson; two step-grandchildren, Brad Ferguson, Saraland, Chase Ferguson, Birmingham; two great-grandchildren, Dylan Caldwell, Jasper Caldwell; two step-great-grandchildren, Carley Ferguson, Conner Ferguson.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Marcella Waterall.
The service was April 1 at 11 a.m. at Lathan Funeral Home with Brian Middleton officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.
Active pallbearers were Brian M. Middleton, Brandon C. Middleton, Blake R. Middleton, Chris A. Caldwell, Brad Ferguson and Chase Ferguson.
