Jared David Strong, 25, of Tuscaloosa died April 12, 2013.
He was born May 28, 1987 in Mobile to his parents, Earl Strong and Karen Pierson Clanton. He attended Jackson High School and graduated in 2005. He attended community college in Auburn and most recently attended Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson. He was also an active member of Ducks Unlimited and a very proud member of the National Rifle Association, (NRA). He was employed by Smith’s Sport Cycles of Tuscaloosa for two years and was currently serving as sales manager.
Survivors include his wife, Sumer D. Alexander; stepson, Westin L. Alexander; mother, Karen Pierson (John) Clanton; father, Earl Adam (Mary) Strong, one brother, Wesley E. Strong; one sister, Whitney E. Strong; one step-brother, Caleb L. Toshcoff; grandparents, Annie J. Pierson, Nell G. Strong and Ralph A. Strong; numerous other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, David L. Pierson.
The service was April 17 at 1 p.m. at Pine Level Baptist Church. Burial was in the Jones Beech Cemetery in the Hobson Community.
Serving as pallbearers were Tom McLendon, Blake McLendon, Trey Deas, Dallas Gray, Chad Rostas, Will Criswell, Julian Carpenter, Will South, Wesley Burge and Brad Brown.
