Juanita “Jenny” Taite, 76, of Grove Hill died April 22, 2013 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 7, 1937. She was a member of the Mt. Zion #2 Baptist Church/Mother Board. She had worked for the Clarke County Commission for 38 years.
Survivors include five sons, Michael (Carolyn) Taite, Casey (Darlene) Taite, Marcus Taite, all of Grove Hill, Dario (Pastoria) Taite, Monroeville, Marlon (Katina) Kaite, Brent, AL; one daughter, Laverne Taite, Jackson; one brother, Thomas (Mary) Taite, Grove Hill; one sister, Lily (Wilbur) Moultrie, Grove Hill, Floretta Dickinson, Dickinson; one brother-in-law, Sidney Love, Thomasville; 11 grandchildren, Lakeshia, Demetrius, Jena, Brandon, Travis, Caleb, Tiera, Torri, Latonya, M.J. and Madison; one great-grandchild; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Earnestine Coates; father, Elmore Taite; one brother, Ananias Taite; four sisters, Voncile Love, Rnea Mae Green, Minnie Mae Martin and Ella Taite Baldwin.
Visitation will be Friday, April 26 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Jackson Memorial Funeral Home. The service will be Saturday, April 27 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion #2 Baptist Church with pastor William E. Jackson to officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be the deacons of Mt. Zion #2 Baptist Church.
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews and cousins.
