Bennie “Neckbone” Williams, 54, died April 15, 2013 at Jackson Medical Center.
He was born May 18, 1958 to the late Calvin Williams and the late Martha Lee Hughes. He was a native of the Rockville community.
Before his health failed some of his favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing.
Survivors include five brothers, John Edward (Sheryl) Williams, Walker Springs, Nathaniel (Jean) Jackson, Jackson, David Williams, Gainesville, Fla., Charles Williams and Archie (Lori) Williams, all of Rockville; three sisters, Linda Faye (Eddie) Martin, Susie Williams, all of Rockville, Retha Mae Kirby, Anniston; a devoted brother-in-law, Eddie (Linda Faye) Martin, Rockville; five uncles, Richard (Catherine) Jackson, Nathaniel (Louise) Hughes, Jessie Hughes, Ossie Lee Caves and Spencer Hughes; two aunts, Perry Lee Martin, Bennie Reed; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Frank Lee Jackson and Calvin Williams Jr.; two sisters, Rosie Lee Sims and Ruth Ann Martin; one brother-in-law, Leroy “Red” Martin.
Visitation will be Friday, April 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Jackson Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral will be April 20 with viewing from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11 at Mt. Olive No. 1 Baptist Church of Rockville with the pastor, Rev. Kevin Jackson, officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive No. I Baptist Church Cemetery.
