Eason Andrews, 86, died April 20, 2013.
He was the youngest of eight children born to Robert and Carrie Andrews on April 2, 1927 in Clarke County, Alabama. He was a United States Army World War II Veteran. He was a funeral director for over 60 years in the Mobile area and was currently employed with Serenity Funeral Home. He was a member and past District Director of the Alabama Funeral Directors Association and was awarded his 50 year pin. He was a member and Past Master of Toulmin Lodge F&AM #875.
Survivors include his daughter, Melanie (Murray) Rodgers; sister, Lottie Hare; grandchildren, April Hanson, Eason “Andy” Bexley, Robert Bexley, Cassie Garza; great-grandchildren, Cody, Avery, Drake, Nya, Jackson, Jacob; a dear friend, Gloria Chatom; nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Homer, Coley, J.C. and Robbie Dee, sisters, Lucille and Opal.
The service was April 24 at 11 a.m. at Bassett Creek Baptist Church. Burial was in the Bassett Creek Cemetery in Grove Hill.
