Milton Allen Etheridge Jr., 51, of Thomasville died April 28, 2013 at UAB Hospital.
He was born March 29, 1962 in Selma. He was a member of the Sweet Water United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army and fire chief of the Putnam Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Shea Long Etheridge, Thomasville; two sons, Brandon Etheridge, Harris Etheridge, both of Thomasville; two daughters, Meri Alana Etheridge, Anaclaire Etheridge, both of Thomasville; father, Milton Etheridge, Sweet Water; mother, Celia H. Etheridge, Sweet Water; on brother, Morris (Daphne) Etheridge, Sweet Water; two sisters, Denise (Barry) Beck, Gulf Shores, Susan (Yann) Cowart, Montgomery; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lamar and Betty Long, Butler; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Reid and Joanna Smith, Birmingham; sister-in-law, Jamiee Long, Meridian, Miss.
The service was May 2 at 11 a.m. at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Revs. Leroy Shaw and Brooks Etheridge and Yann Cowart officiating. Burial was in the Putnam Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Kerry Cannon, tuffy Atkins, Dick Newton, Todd Bishop, Bill Bishop and Rob Beck.
