Mance Malone “Bullet” McKenzie Sr., 78, of Salitpa died Aug. 10, 2013 at his residence.

He was born Feb. 18, 1935 to the parentage of the late Henry McKenzie Sr. and Callie Johnson McKenzie. He was a native of Jackson. At an early age, he united with Mount Olive #2 Baptist Church of Jackson. He retired as a construction worker with Mobile Asphalt. Among his beloved hobbies were fishing and working on trucks.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Mrs. Flora Nell Brown McKenzie, Jackson; three sons, Willie Lionel (Alice) McKenzie, Grove Hill, Bobby (Dianne) McKenzie Sr., McIntosh, Mance Malone (LaRosia) McKenzie Jr., Jackson; two daughters, Rachel McKenzie (Samuel, Jr.) Moore; Ramona McKenzie, both of Jackson; two brothers, Dave (Mable) McKenzie, William “Doe” McKenzie, both of Jackson; one sister, Lillie B. James, Jackson; 15 devoted grandchildren; 28 greatgrandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry McKenzie Jr., and Joe McKenzie, and two sisters, Arlean Smith and Thelma Coleman.

The service was Aug. 14 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive #2 Baptist Church with Rev. S. E. Tullis, pastor; Rev. James McGhee, Jr., eulogist. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Jackson.
