Windle Ray “Bob” Gibson, 82, of Jackson died Sept. 9, 2013 at his residence.
He was born Aug. 14, 1931. He was a native of Guntersville. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a former deacon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a retired electrician with Brown and Root and was a former Co-owner/operator of Frankie’s Bakeshop for 17 years.
Survivors include his wife, Frankie M. Gibson, Jackson; one son, Donald Gibson, Jackson; one daughter, Sissie (Rick) Grant, Jackson; four grandchildren, Heather (Will) Richardson, Ross (Brittany) Henderson, Thomas Gibson and Stephen Gibson; great-granddaughter, Harper Henderson.
He was preceded in death by parents, Greely and Ella Gibson and two brothers.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 10 from 1:30 p.m. until the 2:30 p.m. service at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090. Please mark all memorials “In Honor of Bob Gibson.”
Active pallbearers will be Ross Henderson, Thomas Gibson, Stephen Gibson, Will Richardson, Wayne Harrison and Timbo Harrison.
