Alice Jackson Osborne, 89, died Sept. 2, 2013 at Rush Hospital in Meridian, Miss.
She was born Nov. 16, 1923 to the late Gross Jackson and Every Chisom in Lower Peach Tree.
T.B. Osborne and Alice Jackson were united in marriage in 1937 and resided in Coffeeville. To this union ten children were born and four children preceded her in death, Hattie B. Cunningham, Nell Jordan, Robert Osborne and Richard Osborne.
Survivors include four sons, Willie B. Osborne, Silas, James (Sandra) Osborne, Grove Hill, Charles F. Osborne, Nashville, Tenn., Eddie L. (Mamie) Osborne; two daughters, Alice (Thomas) Taylor, Coffeeville, Shirley (Horace) Scruggs, Huntsville, three brothers, Gross Jackson, Calvin Jackson, Eddie Jackson, all of Detroit, Mich.; four sisters, Lula Pierce, Willie Lee Thomas, Bobbie Lee Sellers, Jettie Ware, all of Detroit, Mich.; one devoted sister-in-law, Edna Osborne, Coffeeville; 28 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
The service was Sept. 7 at 11 a.m. at the Coffeeville Church of God In Christ of Coffeeville with elder James Whigham, pastor, district missionary Beverly Smith, presiding and Superintendent Solomon Smith, eulogy. Burial was in the Coffeeville Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were grandsons and nephews.
Flowerbearers were granddaughters and nieces.
