Willie “Fitti Boy” Woodard, 74, died Oct. 3, 2013 at the Washington County Infirmary Hospital.
He was born Aug. 17, 1939 to the late King Isaac and Mealia Howell Woodard.
At an early age he joined the Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Frankville. Later in life he relocated to St. Petersburg, Fla. for 41 years before returning to Frankville.
Survivors include five brothers, Robert Woodard, John Henry Woodard, both of Mobile, Bill Merida, Frankville, Charles Merida, St. Stephens, Arthur Henry (Edna) Woodard, Chicago, Ill.; six sisters, Ella Lee Howell, San Francisco, Calif., Ann Woodard, Hattie Woodard, Christine Woodard, Ida Mae (Robert) Mitchell, Annie Lee Merida, all of Frankville; one devoted sister-in-law, Dolly Mae Woodard, Jacksonville, Fla.; devoted uncle, Ned (Sally) Woodard, Satsuma; two devoted aunts, Mamie Woodard, Bernice Woodard, both of Chatom.
The service was Oct. 12 at 12 noon at Mt. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Frankville. Rev. Anthony Kimbrough is pastor and officiating minister. Burial was in the Mt. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
