Survivors include his wife, Michelle “Rene” Williams, Wagarville; two daughters, Cherie Powell, Brooklyn Park, Minn., Veronica (Neville) Erving, Miami, Fla.; two sons, Evan Calhoun, Grove Hill and Earnest R. Teairs, Pascagoula, Miss.; four grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren; one stepson, Curtis D. (Dr. Stephanie) Byrd, Atlanta, Ga.; four brothers-inlaw, Aaron W. Byrd, Los Angeles, Calif., Palmer Byrd II, Davenport, Iowa, Reginald Byrd, Denver, Colo., Marc A. Byrd, Waterloo, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Madison and Hosie Williams; and brother, Benjamin “Ben” Williams.
Public viewing will be Sunday, Oct. 20, 4-6 p.m., in the chapel of Jackson Memorial Funeral Home. On Monday, Oct. 21, viewing will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour of 11, at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
