Dorothy Brown Batley, 84, of Jackson died Nov. 4, 2013 at Jackson Health Care Facility.
She was born Feb. 21, 1929. She was a member of the Eastern Star of the Santa Fe Lodge. She was a member of the Stave Creek Baptist Church where she formerly served as a secretary for many years. She was a seamstress at Vanity Fair.
Survivors include two sons, Terry Brown, Jackson, Danny (Gloria) Brown, Coffeeville; one daughter, Judy (Alton) Deas, Grove Hill; two sisters, Narvis Davis, Sarah Brown Pezent, both of Jackson; eight grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; three greatgreat grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence W. and Mattie Mae Reeves, first husband, Reginald Brown, second husband, Fred Batley, two sons, Connie Brown, Donnie Brown, two grandchildren, Melissa and Dondie Kay Brown.
The service was Nov. 6 at 11 a.m. at Stave Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Huey Denton officiating. Burial was in the Stave Creek Baptist Church Cemetery,
