Charles Edward “Chuck” Affholter, 32, of Jackson died Nov. 14, 2013 at his residence.
He was born Jan. 30, 1981. He was an accomplished pianist and vocalist, well-known by many in the local communities, he brought his gift of music to the congregation of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Grove Hill where he was a member. Friends describe Charles as amazingly talented, intelligent and kind, a truly one of a kind. He loved his God, his family, his friends and his music. Whether performing with his musical talents or magical slight-of-hand, he touched young and old alike.
Survivors include his mother, Jan. W. Affholter, grandmother, Elsie Walston, both of Jackson; his aunt, Patricia A. Foster, Orange Park, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Clarke Affholter, grandparents, Charles A. Walston, Edward H. Affholter and Allie Pearl Affholter Etheridge.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, Nov. 16, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Grove Hill, with Rev. Wayne Youngman as the celebrant. Burial was in the Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson.
Pallbearers were Craig Englert, Beaux Boudreaux Sr., Michael Dilts, Brian White, Jamie Wilkins and the Rev. Dr. Ben Stubblefield.
