Velma Ruth Langley, 62, of Sweet Water died Nov. 13, 2013 at Choctaw General Hospital.
She was born Sept. 29, 1951 in Thomasville. She was a member of the Sweet Water Church of God. She was a retired machine operator with Georgia Pacific Paper Mill.
Survivors include her husband, Mickey Langley, Sweet Water; two daughters, Kristi Langley Pritchett, Sweet Water, Sabrina Langley (Tracy) Chandler, Monroeville; her mother, Pauline H. Huckabee, Sweet Water; one brother, Jerry (Ann) Huckabee Sr., Sweet Water; one sister, Nell (Velpo) Waldrope, Sweet Water; one nephew, Jerry Huckabee II; one niece, Shonda Huckabee; one uncle, Beck Holloway; seven grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
The service was Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Revs. Grey Snodgrass and Billy Ballard officiating. Burial was in the Sweet Water Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Tracy Chandler, VElo Waldrope, Donald Boyd Dickinson, Beau Lowry, Jerry Huckabee II, Wrangler Williams, Clarke Holloway and Rev. Billy Ballard.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Class of 1970 at Sweet Water High School.
