Sarah Marie “Ressie” McCorquodale, 83, of Jackson died Nov. 25, 2013 at her residence.
She was born July 9, 1930. She was a member of McCann’s United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Sunday School class and choir. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. She was a seamstress with Vanity Fair and Production with Teledyne Brown.
Survivors include one daughter, Jane Marie McCorquodale (Frank Lenier) Harwell, Jackson; two grandchildren, Eleanor “Ellie” Marie Harwell and Colby Ridge Harwell; four brothers, Matthew Clyde Dolbear, David Devane Dolbear, Gene Turner Dolbear; four sisters, Lottie Mae Kent, Lillian Willoughby, Laura Lee Smith, Gaynor Sanders.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew Turner and Sarah Jane McDonald Dolbear; husband, Thomas Ray “Smokie” McCorquodale; five sisters, Velma Whisenhunt, Vivian Mathews, Viola Hartman, Bertha May and Anita Spillers.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 2 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. Burial will be in the River Hill Cemetery.
