James Clyde Gaddy, 78, of Thomasville died Nov. 21, 2013 at Mobile Infirmary.
He was born March 15, 1935 in Thomasville. He was a member of the Thomasville Baptist Church. He was a retired paper mill maintenance worker.
Survivors include his wife, Joy W. Gaddy, Thomasville; three sons, Kenneth (Scarlett) Gaddy, Tuscaloosa, Bruce ( Janet) Gaddy, Augusta, Ga., Jamey (Stefanie) Gaddy, Cartersville, Ga.; one daughter, Jeannean (Tommy) Gray, Hartselle; two brothers, Leon Gaddy, New Albany, N.Y., Wayne Gaddy, Birmingham; three sisters, Carol Goodwin, Millbrook, Brenda Reynolds, Mobile, Lynn Bowden, Saraland; 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Clyde Gaddy and Velma Hurtt Gaddy and a brother, Charles Gaddy.
A memorial service was Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. at Thomasville Baptist Church with Rev. Ty Parten and Dr. James Best officiating.
