Walter Fudge “Bud” Morgan, 84, of Thomaston died Dec. 14, 2013 at his residence.
He was born Nov. 3, 1929 in Lamison. He was a member of the Thomaston Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired paper mill worker with James Rivers Corp.
Survivors include two sons, Phillip (Geneva) Morgan, Dennis Morgan, Thomaston; one daughter, Brenda (Leon) West, Grove Hill; three sisters, Mabel Duggans, Myrtlewood, Nellie Lynn, McKinley, AL, Mary Ruth Schroeder, Linden; nine grandchildren, Al West, Kevin West, Shelley Harrell, Brian Morgan, Shawn Morgan, Ashley Tucker, Tracy Hollon, James Morgan, Kathleen Morgan; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 60 years, Rosa Lee Morgan.
A graveside service was Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. at Thomaston Cemetery with Revs. Randall Mims and Brooks Barkley officiating.
Active pallbearers were W.L. “Bo” Drake, Billy Stokes, John Dial, Robert Griffith, Raymond Alexander, and Daniel Alexander.
