Earl Jackson “Jack” Greer, 72, of Jackson died Jan. 18, 2014 at his residence.
He was born March 16, 1941. He was a member of Forest Avenue Baptist Church where he began the Cornerstone Sunday School class. He was a utilities superintendent with the Clarke County Commission.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Greer, Jackson; one son, Earl J. (Jamey) Greer II, Wilmer; two daughters, Christy (Chad) Beech, St. Stephens, Elizabeth (David) Guy, Jackson; one brother, Dixon (Pat) Greer, Jackson; six grandchildren, Katie (Gary) Neidhardt, Robby (Rachel) Greer, Luke Beech, Abigail Beech, Kaylee Guy, Caroline Guy.
The service will be Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. at Forest Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Nicholas Hughes officiating. Burial will be in the Winn Community Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Forest Avenue Baptist Building Fund, P.O. Box 611, Jackson, AL 36545.
Active pallbearers will be Tommy Smith, Al Sibley, Dornell Stephens, Mickey Arnold, Bill Odom and J.R. Morgan.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Cornerstone Sunday School Class.
