Lillian W. Starks, 94, of Jackson died Jan. 13, 2014 at USA Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 20, 1919. She was a member of Forest Avenue Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, making some of the most beautiful quilts, cooking for her family and others. She enjoyed watching birds and her flowers. She loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include one son, Bruce (Yvonne) Mathers, Coffeeville; two daughters, Shelba Mathers (Dempsey) Parden, DeRidder, La., Sherry Mathers Hoven, Jackson; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandcildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Bertie Alday Wilson; her husband, Irbie E. Starks; daughter, Jennifer Mathers Beech Autry; three brothers, Watson Wilson, Bernard Wilson, Woodrow Wilson and a sister, Mary Ellen Wilson Robinson.
Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 16 from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service at Forest Avenue Baptist Church in Jackson. Burial will be in the West Bend Cemetey.
Active pallbearers will be Lucas Simon, Wes Simon, Bobby Mathers, Brett Beech, Kirby Hoven, Kipp Hoven, Eben Mathers and Dempsey Parden Jr.
