Elroy “Roy” Webb, 86, of Spanish Fort died Jan. 15, 2014.
He was a native of Coffeeville. He proudly served in the Merchant Marines. He loved and fished the Mobile Delta. He was an excellent crappie fisherman as well as a good fisherman of any type. He was an avid hunter and a member of the Eastern Shore Antique Bottle Club.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, LaTrelle Dozier Webb, originally of Thomasville, longtime resident of Spanish Fort; his daughter, Tammy Jackson-Rowell and husband, Mike Rowell, Fairhope; his grandsons, Truitte Webb Jackson and Fallan Batchelor, Orange Beach; siblings, Gertrude Hope, Jeanette (James T.) Murray, Imogene Price, Donnie J. Webb, Judy Elesia Freeman and many other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Edison Webb and Bertie Truitt Webb and his siblings, Edison Webb and Easter Opal Dickey.
The service will be Jan. 17 at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne. The family will receive friends at the funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral service. Burial will be in the Jubilee Memorial Gardens.
