Jimmie F. Wiggins, 86, of Grove Hill died Jan. 11, 2014 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 25, 1927. He was a member of Grove Hill Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II. He was the owner of Wiggins Furniture.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy S. Wiggins, Grove Hill; one daughter, Cynthia ReNae (Glen T.) Wood, Grove Hill; four grandchildren, Mandy ( Joe) Jones, Natalie ( Justin) Sims, Jennifer ( Jason) Gates, Cody Wood; four great-grandchildren, Anna Katherine Jones, Jack Jones, Max Anderson, Brooklyn Gates; one brother, Robert (Mary) Wiggins, Wetumpka; two sisters, Cammie Ree (Milton) Wiggins, Selma, Annie Mae Everett, Mobile.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Annie Frances Wiggins, brothers, John W. Wiggins, Slaughter Wiggins, Claude Wiggins and a sister, Elma McKinley.
The service was Jan. 13 at 11 a.m. with Dr. Johnnie Kendrick officiating at the Grove Hill Baptist Church. Burial was at the Magnolia Lawn Cemetery in Grove Hill.
Active pallbearers were Glen Wood, Cody Wood, Joe Jones, Justin Sims, Jason Gates, Gene Wiggins and LaDon Downs.
