Earl Jackson “Jack” Greer, 72, of Jackson died Jan. 18, 2014 at his residence.
He was born March 16, 1941. He was a member of Forest Avenue Baptist Church where he began the Cornerstone Sunday School class. He was a utilities superintendent with the Clarke County Commission.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Greer, Jackson; one son, Earl J. (Jamey) Greer II, Wilmer; two daughters, Christy (Chad) Beech, St. Stephens, Elizabeth (David) Guy, Jackson; one brother, Dixon (Pat) Greer, Jackson; six grandchildren, Katie (Gary) Neidhardt, Robby (Rachel) Greer, Luke Beech, Abigail Beech, Kaylee Guy, Caroline Guy.
The service was Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. at Forest Avenue Baptist Church with Revs. William Allison and Nicholas Hughes officiating. Burial was in the Winn Community Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Forest Avenue Baptist Building Fund, P.O. Box 611, Jackson, AL 36545.
Active pallbearers were Tommy Smith, Al Sibley, Dornell Stephens, Mickey Arnold, Bill Odom and J.R. Morgan.
Honorary pallbearers were the Cornerstone Sunday School Class.
