Sarah McDonald Mohn, 95, of Monroeville passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Monroe Manor.
Mrs. Mohn was born July 13, 1918 in Jackson, Alabama to James Connie McDonald and Effie Payne McDonald. She had been a resident of Monroeville for 50 years. Mrs. Mohn worked with Judy Bond Blouse Company as a sales clerk for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Monroeville and was an active part of the Ida Shomo Sunday School Class for years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence M. Mohn.
Survivors include her son, John Daniel Mohn Sr., and wife Beverly of Frisco City; her daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Young of Butler, her grandchildren, Sarah Young Rolison and husband Allen of Butler, Robin Young Wells and husband Shay of Butler, Delisa Norwood of Monroeville and John Daniel Mohn Jr. of Frisco City and her great grandchildren, Randall Ruth Rolison, Sarah Allen Rolison, Kathryn Elizabeth Rolison, William Lynn Wells, Charity Norwood and Destinee Lee. Survivors locally include Bernice Feagin of Grove Hill.
The service was Jan. 13 at 11 a.m. at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Sara Shaver and Rev. Pam Barnhardt officiating. Burial followed in the Monroe Chapel Cemetery.
