Beatrice Garrick, 75, of Grove Hill died Feb. 27, 2014 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 2, 1938. She was a native of Scyrene. She had worked for Vanity Fair for 44 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Grove Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sister, Ann G. Cox, Grove Hill; nieces and nephews, Wayne Garrick (Jackie), Beth Manchester (Ricky), Joe Milstead, Robin Rawls (Charlie) Michael Gregory, Johnny Garrick, Mark Garrick, Bryan Gregory (Lucinda); great-nieces and nephews, Jeff Garrick, Kristi Stoker (J.J.), Ryan Manchester (Jenny), Jason Garrick (Maggie), Haley Garrick, Kayla Garrick, Avery Gregory and Aaron Gregory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Alexander and Diple Inez Hicks Garrick; three brothers, three sisters, three nephews.

The service was March 1 at 11 a.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill with Bros. Tony Meinhart and David Curtis officiating. Burial was in the Magnolia Lawn Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Wayne Garrick, Jason Garrick, Jeff Garrick, Joe Milstead, Ricky Manchester, Bryan Gregory, Aaron Gregory and Avery Gregory.

Honorary pallbearers were the Joy Sunday school class.
