Kavell Demontrey “Trey” Henderson, 22, of Deer Park, Ala. died April 2, 2015.

He was born Feb. 5, 1993. He was a member of New Light Missionary Baptist Church. He graduated from Fruitdale High School in 2012, where he was an academic scholar, excelling in all of his classes.

Trey relocated to Tampa, Fla. where he was employed as a supervisor with Johnson Controls Battery Group.

Survivors include his mother, Unanza Marshay Henderson, one brother, Kelstin Henderson, maternal grandmother, Rosa Henderson, all of Deer Park; maternal grandfather, Woodrow Sargent of Tacoma, Wash.; paternal grandmother, Margie Johnson of Leaksville, Miss.; stepgrandfather, Raymond Laffittee of Deer Park; two aunts, Anna “Kisha” (John) Davenport of Vinegar Bend, and Kezia “Patty” (James) Land of Slidell, Louisiana; three uncles, Carlos “PJ” Henderson and Jamel Henderson, both of Deer Park, and Myron Johnson of Leaksville, Miss., and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mitchell Johnson.

The service was April 11, at 2 p.m. at Citronelle First Baptist Church at 8520 State St. in Citronelle with minister Elbert Charpie, pastor; Rev. Larry Bolton, eulogist and pastor of the deceased.
