Robert Milton “Bunk” Sims, 82, of Pine Hill died Aug. 5, 2016.

He was born Sept. 9, 1933 in Sunny South. He attended Pine Hill Church of God. He was a retired procurement logging foreman with MacMillan Bloedel. He was a former employee for the City of Thomasville.

Survivors include his wife, June Vick Sims, Pine Hill; one son, Danny J. Sims, Pine Hill; one daughter, Angie S. (David) Wright, Pine Hill; one sister, Una S. (Pat) Hill, Pine Hill; five grandchildren, Noelle Sims (Ken) Morris, Ashley Wright (Ben) McCurdy, Rachel Wright (Walker) Goodrich, Ann Sims (Cory) Gates, Matthew W. (Amanda) Wright; 11 great-grandchildren, Taylor Sims Goodrich, Maura Kate Morris, Madi Morris, Sims Grace Goodrich, Mason Marie McCurdy, Collins Elizabeth Wright, Walker Graham Goodrich, Payce Amelia McCurdy, Ellen Camille Wright, Falon Noelle Gates, Emmie June McCurdy.

The service was Aug. 7 at 3 p.m. at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Kynard officiating. Burial was in the Pine Hill Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Ken Morris, Ben McCurdy, Walker Goodrich, Cory Gates, Matthew Wright and Bruce Sims.
