Carol Virginia Thompson Glass, 89, of Thomasville died Aug. 18, 2016 at her residence.

She was born April 11, 1927. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, John Watson Glass, Thomasville, James Brooks (Nancy) Glass, Nanafalia; three daughters, Carol (Cecil) Nelson Hill, Kaye (Danny) Harrison, all of Thomasville, Judy McLean, Montgomery; nine grandchildren, Richard Dwight (Tina) Nelson, Rodney Danny (Trina) Harrison, Jennifer Nelson (Jason) Robertson, Leandra Glass (Brad) Goodman, Tonie Amanda Harrison, Justin Wyatt Glass, James Brooks Glass Jr., Brantley Heath Glass and Harley Paige Glass and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Glass Jr., her parents, Watson and Lois Bradford Thompson; two brothers, Julius E. Thompson, John Watson Thompson; two son-in-laws, Billy Ray Nelson and Victor McLean.

The service was Aug. 20 at 11 a.m. with Revs. Bill Faircloth, Craig Gavin and David Grayson officiating. Burial was at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville.

Active pallbearers were Mike Gunter, Dwayne Gates, Jason Robertson, Brad Goodman, Jon Harrison and Dylan Robertson.

Honorary pallbearers were Leon Glass, Danny Harrison, Cecil Hill, Jack Jarman, Don Jordan, Randy Gates, Terry Gates and Lynn Baugh.
