Mary Etta McCorquodale, 88, died Aug.  19, 2016 at Jackson Healthcare Facility.

Mrs. McCorquodale was born Nov. 21, 1927 to Walter Wallace Jones and Etta Jean Owens Jones in Whistler. After spending a portion of her youth in Citronelle, she met William Waite McCorquodale whom she married in 1946. Mrs. McCorquodale worked as a bank teller at Jackson Bank and Trust Company for many years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson. She was blessed to spend the last two years being lovingly cared for by the staff of Jackson Healthcare Facility. Above all, Mrs. McCorqodale loved her Lord and family. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include two daughters, Etta Marie (Bruce) Arnott, Jackson, Brenda Sellers, Prattville; sister, Ruth Bassett, Citronelle; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Waite McCorquodale, a daughter, Cheryl Crim, a son-in-law, Lane Sellers; four siblings.

The service was Aug. 21 at 3 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with Bros. Ben Stubblefield and Brian Jemison officiating. Interment followed in Trinity Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers were her grandchildren and their spouses, Shannon, (Deana) Crim, Amy (Tony) Sawyer, Will (Jessica) Arnott, Travis (Michelle) Arnott, Andy (Jen) Sellers, Mark (Misty) Sellers, Abby (Ben) Carmichael.
