Alice Virginia “Ginger” Reeves, 76, of Leroy, passed away Aug. 19, 2016 at Providence Hospital in Mobile.

She was born to Garrie Lee Wheat and Annie Rebecca Walker Wheat on March 26, 1940 in Wagarville. She was a long-time member of Leroy Baptist Church. She was well-known for her work as a teller at the bank. She enjyed doing things for others.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings.

Survivors include her husband, Edward “Buster” Reeves, Leroy; children, Lamar (Betsy) Reeves, Spanish Fort, Allison (Mike) Hughston, Montevallo; grandchildren, Elizabeth Hughston, Racheal Reeves; numerous nieces and nephews.

The service was Aug. 22 at Leroy Baptist Church with Revs. James Watkins and Joel Faircloth officiating. Interment followed at the Old Leroy Baptist Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Jim Wheat, Patrick Paul, Scottie Chastain, Kevin Wheat, Larry White, Josh Cole and John Reeves III.

Honorary pallbearers were Gene Jay, Larry Wiggins, Gene Etheridge, Kay Hawkins, Joe Davis and Juan Howell.
