Teresa Anne Noble Norris, 61, is resting peacefully in the arms of Jesus after battling a long and courageous fight against cancer, as of Sept. 20, 2016 at her residence in Opine.

She was born Jan. 7, 1955 in a Tripoli Army Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. A lifelong love of Jesus is the best description of Tesa, but everyone will also remember “Tesa” for her generosity, her quick wit, her passion for Alabama football and her rescue efforts for abused and abandoned animals, especially dogs.

Living to remember Tesa are her husband and soul mate, Jerry Wayne Norris; two sisters, Nancy (Randy) Harrison, Alice (Ken) Vice; a brother, Michael (Shelia) Noble; two sisters-in-law, Cindy (John) Wood, Sheila (Chris) Roe; five nieces, Kaylyn (Zac) Grocholl Hastings, Codi Vick, Mallory Roe, Megan Roe, Tayla Wood; nine nephews, Clark (Danielle) Harrison, Patrick (Jennifer) Harrison, Allan Noble, Scott Noble, Ryan Noble, Mick Grocholl, Conrad (Taylor) Vick, Trevor Wood, Remington Roe; three “greats” Mickael McNemar, Robert McNemar and Riley Ann Vick. Tesa never had children of her own but loved her nieces and nephews as if they were.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Wentford, Dorothy Anne McIntyre Noble; all of her grandparents, and a previous husband, David Hoven.

The service will be Friday, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. at Bashan Baptist Church with Revs. Benny Harrison, David Murray and Adam Hughes officiating. Burial will be in the Bashan Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Warren Noble, Conrad Vick, Zac Hastings, Mick Grocholl, Trevor Wood, Chris Roe, Chuck Kane and Brandon Baker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Clark Harrison, Patrick Harrison, Alvin McIntyre, Harold Agee and Joe Littlepage.
