Terry Edge Pugh, 62, of Northport died Sept. 14, 2016.

He was born May 31, 1954. He was a native of Grove Hill. Terry attended Clarke County High School. He served in the U.S. National Guard. He was a truck driver. Terry was always considered to be a “prankster.” His family and friends have many stories to prove this. Terry enjoyed fishing and watching Alabama football. He loved his wife and children and always found time to take his son bowling.

Survivors include his wife, Katy Pugh, Northport; his mother, Thelma Edge Pugh, Grove Hill; one daughter, Megan Pugh, Northport; one son, Wesley Pugh, Northport; two brothers, Raymond (Wanda) Pugh, Meridian, Miss., Rodger Pugh, Grove Hill; four sisters, Faye Jones, Joan (“Bookie”) Sheffield, Alice (James) Moore, all of Grove Hill, Sally (Dan) Cannon, Morris, Ala.; a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Marion Pugh; one sister, Paula Pugh.

The service was Sept. 17 at 2 p.m. at Tompkins Baptist Church in Grove Hill with Rev. Don Pugh officiating. Interment was at Tompkins Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Jamie, Josh, John David Moore, Richard Pugh, Clint Pugh, Stephen Cannon and John Jones.

Honorary pallbearers were Maurice Paul, Michael Gregory, Ray Jordan and Dale Dumas.
