Marie Sullivan, 84, of Jackson passed away Oct. 30, 2016 at Springhill Memorial Hospital in Mobile.

She was born Jan. 20, 1932 to Herbert Melton McClamy Sr. and Vida Coxwell McClamy. A lifelong member of Jackson First Baptist Church, she enjoyed Sunday School and was active with the WMU. She was also an avid fan of Alabama football. She had been employed with Vanity Fair.

Survivors include a son-in-law, Rodger Dunagan, Jackson; sister-in-law, Frances McClamy, Jackson; granddaughter, Ali Marie Dunagan, Jackson; nieces and nephews, Mac Hayes, Kay Slayton, Kim Hayes, Suzanne Browning, Jeanne Wickell and numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Amy Marie Dunagan; siblings, Herbert Melton “H.M.” McClamy Jr., Bernice McClamy Hayes and a nephew, Daniel Melton McClamy.

 The service was Nov. 3 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Jackson with Dr. Ben Stubblefield officiating. Interment followed at Trinity Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers were John Purvis, Mac Hayes, Frank Dixon, Hunter Browning, Kyle Wickell, Harvey Little, Stick Outlaw and Quinton Brooks.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Jackson.
