Clifton Ray Walker, 63, of Grove Hill died Dec. 27, 2016.

He was a native of Alabama. He graduated from Clarke County High School in 1972. Clifton worked as a saw filer at saw mills. He was a avid deer hunter and loved fishing too (he would fish until deer season came in). He played the drums in the “Little Rascals Band,” which played mostly classic rock. Clifton loved his grandkids with all his heart, and Allison Bedwell, who was like a daughter to him.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Ledbetter Walker, Grove Hill; one son, Clifton Ray Walker Jr., Flomaton; one daughter, Arlene (Gilbert) Reyes, Grove Hill; two brothers, Jimmy (Patsy) Walker, Jackson, Richard (Donna) Walker, DeBary, Fla.; one sister, Betty Schultz, Grove Hill; five grandchildren, Thomas Reid, Tyler Reid, Xander Walker, Brenden Walker and Breanna Reyes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Hall Walker and Edith Louise Williams Walker.

Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 31 at 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service at Bassetts Creek Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Bassetts Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Bruce Andrews, Kyle Andrews, Kevin Champion, John Champion, Scott Walker, Tim Schultz, Mike Larrimore, Don West, Howard Helms and Scott Smyly.

Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Jerry Drinkard, Ricky Clanton, Ken Roberts and Barry Roberts.
