Sara Glover Huggins, 92, of Coffeeville died Feb. 15, 2017 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital.

She was born Dec. 23, 1924 in Moundville to George Bennie and Sarah Janie Glover. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was a retired nurse from Grove Hill Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include four daughters, Pauline (Woodrow) Dumas, Rebecca Stringer, Kathy (Alvin) Rivers, Charity (David) Brunson, all of Coffeeville; a niece, Linda (Ray) St. John, Greenville, S.C.; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, John Paul Huggins, a sister, Isabell Pierce.

The service was Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. with Dr. Ray St. John and Rev. Morris Hill officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Grove Hill.

Active pallbearers were Matt Bowlus, Simeon Stringer, Walt Pope, Jarrette Pope, Nick Pope, Van Moore, Cody Hill and Charlie Latham.

Memorials may be made to the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home, Gideons International or the Salvation Army.
