Julia Hilda Knight, 91, of Thomasville died Feb. 14, 2017 at the Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 6, 1925 in Sandflat. She worked as a clerk at Dunn’s store in Grove Hill and later at Thomasville High School. Her passions were God, family and volunteering at the Thomasville Church of God.

Survivors include one daughter, Janet Wade, Fayetteville, Ark.; three sons, Kenneth Knight, Daphne, Morris Knight, Thomasville, Devain Knight, Cleveland, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Coleman Knight; a son, Tommy Knight; five sisters and four brothers.

The service was Feb. 17 at 2 p.m. at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Straun officiating. Burial was in the Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville.

Active pallbearers were Steve Trimm, Evan Gros, Jake Knight, Rex Knight, Zack Knight and Sam Knight.

Honorary pallbearers were Kimber Pfotenhauer, Richard Bozone and Jimmy Knight.
