Marlin Roy Bolen, 79, of Jackson passed away March 8, 2017 at Jackson Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 19, 1938 to Lloyd and Peggy Bolen. He was a retired supervisor with Bell South Telephone Company. He was also a very active member of the First United Methodist Church of Jackson where he served in numerous positions.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Carreen Driskell Bolen; three children, Leigh (Crystal) Bolen, Keith (Tammy) Bolen, Daron Bolen; four grandchildren, Stevi (Jonathan) Skipper, Weston (Haley) Bolen, Andrea Bolen, Dalton Bolen, Blake Bolen and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will begin Saturday, March 11 at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with a memorial service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Alan Gantzhorn officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will  be Buddy Noble, Erwin Cooper, Gay Dewitt, John Gaddis, David Brown and members of the Christian Fellowship Class.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Jackson, 146 College Ave., Jackson, AL 36545 or any charity of your choice.
