Albert Lee “Shank” Williams, 72, of Coffeeville departed this life March 22, 2017 at Jackson Health Care Facility.

He was born March 12, 1945 to the parentage of the late P.J. Williams and the late Rosie Earl Williams. He moved to Alexandria, Louisiana in 1971 where he was employed and he retired from the janitorial department of St. Francis Cabrini Hospital. He was a life-long member of Cedar Point Baptist Church of Coffeeville. He returned to his beloved Coffeeville where he enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid fan of Alabama Crimson Tide football.

Survivors include a stepson, Carlos (Naomia) Vercher, Chula Vista, Calif.; two brothers, Earnest Williams, Coffeeville, Warren Daniel Williams, Alexandria, Louisiana; one sister, Pearlie Mae Williams, Mobile; two step-grandchildren, Yazmine and Ashley Vercher; a special friend, Tammy Bradley and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Rosie Mae Williams; three brothers, John Earl Williams, James Eddie Williams and Frank Earl Williams.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 1 at 12 noon until the 1 p.m. service at Cedar Point Baptist Church at 5474 West Bend Road in Coffeeville with Rev. Scottie McBride, pastor/ eulogist. Following burial in the Cedar Point Baptist Church Cemetery the family will receive friends in the fellowship hall.
