Edna Frowner Williams, 69, of Gainestown answered the Master’s call July 8, 2017 at Mobile Infirmary.   

She was born July 8, 1948 to Rev. E.C. and Mary Ann Mose Frowner.She was a native of Manila.

At an early age Edna was baptized at St. Matthew No. 1 Baptist Church in Manila where she remained a member until her passing.

She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted daughter, Rosemary (Jimmy) Hunt, Gainestown; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sister, Mary L. Kirksey, South Holland, Ill.; five brothers, John Max (Alice) Frowner and Rev. Henry (Martha) Frowner, both of Manila, Rev. Webster Frowner, Kansas City, Kan., Bennie Frowner and Phillip (Annie) Frowner, both of Alma; with a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Williams; daughter, Patricia Mobley; four sisters, Essie Von, Nellie, Florece and Novetter; five brothers, Edward, her twin, Clayton, David Sr., Jessie and Ellis Sr.

Public viewing will be Friday, July 14, from 1 until 6 p.m., at Jackson Memorial Funeral Home, 203 East Ross St., Jackson, AL 36545. Service will be Saturday, July 15, with viewing from 10 until the 11 a.m. homegoing service at St. Matthew No. 1 Baptist Church, 5 Waverly Road in Manila with Revs. Willie Causey, pastor, and Webster Frowner, brother to officiate. Interment will follow in the Frowner Family Cemetery in Manila.
