Ruby Lee Chancey, 82, a native of Coffeeville and longtime resident of Satsuma, passed away Sept. 9, 2017 at Mobile Nursing & Rehab Center.

She was born Oct. 26, 1934 to Richard and Lena Bell Dunagan. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She loved being outdoors and particularly enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her children, Rodney (Jennifer) Chancey, Glen (Desi) Chancey, Donald (LaTrecia) Chancey, all of Satsuma; grandchildren, Rhett Chancey, Matt Chancey (Candy Harper), Mandy (Christian) Wolff, Hayley Chancey, Ryan Chancey, Kyle Chancey, Ranzie (Evan) Berggren; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Wolff, Lachlan Wolff, Jensen Berggren and siblings, Robert (Delores) Dunagan, Katherine (Fletcher Beech), Brooks, Judy (Jimmy) Hudson; sisters-in-law, Margaret (John D.) Knight, Loyce Chancey and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Herman R. Chancey.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16 until the 12 p.m. service at Ulcanush Baptist Church in Coffeeville with Rev. Steven Perry officiating. Interment will follow at the Ulcanush Baptist Church Cemetery in Coffeeville.

Active pallbearers will be Donald Chancey, Rhett Chancey, Matt Chancey, Ryan Chancey, Kyle Chancey and Robby Dunagan.
