Nevada Reed Moore, 82, a resident of McIntosh, answered the Master’s call Dec. 19, 2017 at Providence Hospital in Mobile.

Nevada was born Dec. 23, 1934 to Ned and Jessie Sewell Reed. She was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in McIntosh. Nevada was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who loved gardening, flowers, shopping, cooking, baking cakes and spending time with her family. She loved attending church, serving faithfully as first lady for 31 years, she had a great love for the members of Union Baptist Church in Wagarville where her husband is pastor.

She will be cherished in the hearts of her beloved family, including her husband, the Rev. Dr. Lonnie Moore of McIntosh; two daughters, Michelle (Wilbert) Dixon of McIntosh and Rosalind (Terry I) Ware; son, Doniva (Shenovia) Moore Sr. of McIntosh; six grandchildren, Portia Dixon, Alexis Moore, Leon (Amelia) Dixon, Doniva Moore Jr., Lonnie Dixon and Terry Ware II of Birmingham; one great-grandchild, Master Tucker Dixon; four sisters, Arneatter James and Carolyn Reed, both of Mobile, Annie Mae Radcliff of Morvico and Cecelia (Cleon Sr.) Brown of McIntosh; three brothers, Eddie (Annie) Reed Sr. of McIntosh, Lewis Reed of Detroit, Mich., and Luther (Linda) Reed of Mobile; four sisters-in-law and four brothers in-law.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Robirda Ingram and brother, Marvin Reed.

The service was Dec. 23 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in McIntosh, with Rev. Craig Westry, pastor officiating. Interment followed in the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
