Robert David Campbell, 73, of Thomasville died March 6, 2018 at his residence.

He was born April 6, 1944 in Moulton, Ala. to Franklin Thomas and Lillie Beulah Campbell. He was a member of Pineview Baptist Church of Thomasville. He was a retired sawyer with Linden Lumber Company and owner of Country Oaks Assisted Living.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Daw Campbell, Thomasville; seven sons, Robert (Terri) Campbell, Flomaton, Roy Campbell, Thomasville, Lynn (Janie) Fletcher, San Antonio, Texas, Michael Fletcher, Millers Ferry, Timmy Campbell, Cole Campbell, Austin Campbell, all of Thomasville; four daughters, Linda (Joey) Holden, Thomasville, Rebecca (Roger) Campbell, Demopolis, Amy (Willie) Armstead, Grove Hill, Destiney Campbell, Thomasville; brother, Coy (Dianne) Campbell, Milino, Fla.; sister, Jean (Gary) Barrow, Byrneville, Fla.; 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and his pet puppy, Kitty.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Wendell Campbell.

The service was March 12 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mitch Thrower officiating. Burial was in the Flomaton Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Allen Campbell, John Flannigan, Jesse Flannigan, Shane Campbell, Roy Campbell, Willie Armistead, Roger Campbell, Lynn Fletcher and Michael Fletcher.

Memorials may be made to the Pineview Baptist Church in memory of Robert David Campbell.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Pineview Baptist Church, Grove Hill Memorial Hospital, Dr. Frank Dozier and office staff, Dr. Blesilda Ellis, Stacey and the office staff of Hometown Hospice and friends of the community that prayed for him.
