Amos Lee Johnson, 90, of Grove Hill passed away March 7, 2018 at his residence.

He was born Oct. 4, 1927 to John Dee and Allie Johnson. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be missed by many relatives and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Delouise Guy Biggs Johnson; son, Gary (Kathy) Johnson, Mobile; step-children, Mike (Flo) Biggs, Millry, Kenny (Dessie) Biggs, Saraland; foster son, Jimmie (Shryle) Baugh, Grove Hill; siblings, Maynard Johnson, Clifford (Olay) Johnson, Brewton, Johnny (Betty) Johnson, Tickfall, La., Della Ruth Le Don, Iron, Margaret Johnson Patrick, Semmes; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Ruth Pope Johnson and siblings, Maynard Dee Johnson, Bernard Dee Johnson, Estell Johnson Pope and Dot Johnson Groves.

Visitation will begin Saturday, March 10 at 10 a.m. and the service will begin at 12 p.m. at Bassett Creek Baptist Church in Grove Hill with Rev. Chris Kynard officiating. Interment will be in the Bassett Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Frankie Baugh, Phil Andrews, Darren Henson, Larry Newsom, Dale Goodman and Corey Biggs.

Honorary pallbearers will be Neal Bush, George Pugh, Julian Johnson, Estes Sheffield and Robert Fore.
