Mickel DeOndre Jackson, 37, departed this earthly life on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018, and transitioned to his heavenly home.

He was born on May 13, 1981.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two children, Taylor Martin and Tobias Crayton; godchild, Kelsey Pritchett, Gainestown; a loving and devoted mother, Karen (Terry) Pope, Grove Hill; a loving and devoted father, Eddie (Cynthia) Pritchett, Walker Springs; two loving and devoted sisters, Keila (Derrick) Johnson and Cierra Pritchett, both of Walker Springs; two step-siblings, Tevin Pope, Hinesville, Ga., and Brianna Pope, Livingston; 13 uncles, Amos (Alice) Jackson, Larry (god-mother Emily) Jackson, Derric (Sheila) Jackson, all of Gainestown, Anthony (Cassandra) Jackson, Jackson, Calvin (Imogene) Jackson, Mobile, Alonzo Jackson, Montgomery, Clifton (Ulander) Moore, Choctaw Bluff, Anthony (Tina) Moore, Bad Nauheim Germany, Eric (Lenora) Moore, Gosport, Darryle (Vicki) Moore, Toddtown, Robert James (Lucinda) Pritchett, Walker Springs, Bobby (Dorthea) Pritchett, Charles Pritchett, Flint, Mich.; 22 aunts, Frankie Jackson, Jackson, Alfreda (Kenny) Caffie, Mobile, Sandra J. Perine, Smyrna, Ga.; three devoted friends, John (Chrissy) Hunt Jr., Tuscaloosa, Calvin Pritchett Jr. and Melissa (Mark) Frowner, both of Walker Springs.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Dorothy M. Jackson and Mary Pritchett and grandfathers, Clifton Moore Sr. and LT Fox. Mickel was a member of the Jackson High School Class of 1999.

Public viewing will be Friday, Sept. 7, from 6 until 8 p.m., at Jackson Memorial Funeral Home, 203 East Ross St., Jackson. The service will be Saturday, Sept. 8 with viewing from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral hour at the Jackson High School auditorium. Interment will follow in the Good Hope AME Cemetery of Gainestown.

Final life celebration has been entrusted to Jackson Memorial Funeral Home, 203 East Ross St., Jackson, AL.
