Bethel Baptist revival



Bethel Baptist Church of Coffeeville will have revival services beginning Thursday, (tonight), July 27 through Saturday, July 29 at 6:30 p.m. nightly. Sunday morning service will be at 11 a.m. Bro. Roscoe Wentworth, pastor of the Coffeeville First Baptist Church will be the guest speaker.

Peniel Baptist

to continue VBS

Peniel Baptist Church located at 1730 McVay Road will continue Vacation Bible School Thursday, (tonight), July 27 and end Friday, July 28 from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. The theme will be “Arctic Edge.” Children, especially ages three years through sixth grade are encouraged to attend.

New Home Church

to have gospel concert

New Home Church will have a gospel concert Friday, July 28 at 7 p.m. featuring “Naomi and The Segoes” along with “Grateful Heart.” There is no charge for admission but a love offering will be taken. New Home is located between Repton and Monroeville just north of U.S. Highway 84 East. For information call Rev. Kenneth Johnson at 251-575-2524.

Mt. Vernon singing

Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, located three miles north of Thomasville, will have the Cullomburg Quartet in concert Saturday, July 29 at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served following the singing.

Antioch Baptist singing

Antioch Baptist Church will have an old time convention gospel singing Saturday, July 29 at 6:30 p.m. until. The best singers in Clarke County will be there. L.C. James is the emcee.

Oak Grove singing

Oak Grove Baptist Church of the Chilton community will have a singing Saturday, July 29 at 7 p.m. There will be special music and congregational singing.

Inspirational Tabernacle

to have special program

Inspirational Tabernacle located at 1171 Industrial Road in Jackson will have a Building Fund Program Sunday, July 30 at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Ken Jones will be the speaker. Evangelist Beverly Jackson is the acting pastor.

Truevine special program

Truevine Baptist Church of Dickinson will have a building fund program Sunday, July 30 at 11:30 a.m. The speaker will be Minister Wendell Pugh of Thomasville. The program chairperson is Mattie T. Dotson. Rev. Roderick Scott is the pastor.

Youth Fellowship set

Lily Baptist, Midway Baptist and Spencer Chapel A.M.E. Churches will have its Fifth Sunday Youth Fellowship Sunday, July 30 beginning with Sunday school at 10 a.m. Rev. Wiley McMillian will be the speaker for the 11 a.m. service. Rev. W.T. Leseuer is the pastor.

Chance Baptist Church Building Fund Rally will end July 30 at 1:15 p.m. The event is sponsored by Maxie L. Taite. Rev. C.L. Marshall is the pastor.

Lily Baptist Church of Fulton will have a gospel singing Sunday, July 30 at 3 p.m. The featured guests will be the Rev. Hubert Baker and The Believers of Mobile, The Spiritual Kings of Dixons Mills and the Central Gospel Singers of Thomasville. The event is sponsored by Sis. Marie Calhoun. Rev. Union Baptist Church #2 of Coffeeville will have revival Monday, July 31 through Friday, Aug. 4 at 7 p.m. The evangelist will be Rev. Obodish Clemon, pastor of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Lauderdale, Miss. Homecoming will be Sunday, Aug. 6 at 11 a.m. Sis. Lucille Pace is the clerk. Rev. Vayton Chapman is the pastor.

Bashan Baptist revival

Bashan Baptist Church will have revival services beginning Sunday, July 30 through Wednesday, Aug. 2 at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. John Copeland of the Fulton Baptist Church will be the speaker. Sunday services will begin at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Rev. Jimmy Simpkins is the pastor.

West Bend homecoming and revival set

West Bend Baptist Church’s homecoming will be Sunday, Aug. 6 at 11 a.m. and lunch to follow in the fellowship hall. Revival services will be Monday, Aug. 7 through Wednesday, Aug. 9 at 7 p.m. Rev. Chris Kynard, pastor of the Bassett Creek Baptist Church will be the speaker.

Greater Rest singing

Greater Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church of Walker Springs will have a Celebration of the Blessed Voices featuring Raquel Pugh, Dennis Pugh Jr., Gabriel Lucy, Nataki Law, Victor Todd, Delisa Pugh, Joshua Trotter, LaKendra Hunt and Courtney Berry Saturday, Aug. 5 at 6 p.m. The theme is “O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.” Psalm 108:1. Church of God of Prophecy located on Highway 84 East in Grove Hill will have a singing Saturday, Aug. 5 at 7 p.m. featuring Skyline Gospel that include Calvin Wood, Buck Jordan, Jimmy Parnell, Scott Hutchinson, Reubin Powell and Jesse Faye Stephens. Rev. Adelle Caldwell is the pastor.

Inspirational Tabernacle James benefit

Inspirational Tabernacle Church of Jackson will have a benefit program, Saturday, Aug. 5 at 6 p.m. for Clifton James. He has a 12 years old son who will be in the seventh grade this year. The family needs much support. All choirs, groups and soloists are asked to come out for this occasion. If you can’t attend a donation would be appreciated. Rev. Robert Collins will be the speaker.
