Derwin Randal Brown, 47, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope.

He was born May 18, 1974 in Alexander City to Dewey M. Brown and Judith Connell Brown. He was a deacon at Ephesus Primitive Baptist Church in New Site. A big hearted, quick witted country boy, with a love for the outdoors, Derwin was happiest with a yard full of family and close friends, cooking and laughing with them. He often did acts of kindness when no one was looking, especially when he was on his self-employed job, “All About Doors.” He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Tara P. Brown and their dog, Dogter Hazel Nut Brown; his father, Dewey Brown; sister, Rhonda (Ricky) Simmons; niece, Carrie Simmons; mother- and father-inlaw, Ruth and Eddie Pezent; brother-in-law, John (Denise) Pezent; with many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

The service was Thursday, March 10 in the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Alexander City, officiated by Bro. Cordes. Burial was in the Ephesus Cemetery in New Site.
