Sylvia LaShelle Dubose Campbell, 39, a native of Leroy and a resident of Buckatanna, Miss., made her earthly transition on Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021, surrounded by her family while at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, Miss.

She was born on March 16, 1982 to Barbara Dubose and the late James Williams in Jackson. Sylvia was a member of New Jerusalem Holiness Ministry, she loved to sing and cook, and spend time with family.

She leaves behind her mother, Barbara Dubose of Stateline, Miss.; six children, Shacorey, Evertte, Shandanous and Zika Campbell, all Waynesboro, Miss., Erica Dubose of Citronelle and Devonte Campbell of Blandon Springs; three sisters, Linda (E’van) Wiggins of Buckatanna, Miss., Evelyn (Charles) Morgan and Brittney Dubose Harkles, both of Waynesboro, Miss.; brother, Donald (Sarah) Dubose of Leroy; a special uncle, Larry Dubose; and special cousins, Ada Collins, Ashley and Emily Gilmore; with a host aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be Thursday, Dec. 30 from 2 until 5 p.m. at Jackson Memorial Funeral Home, 203 East Ross Street. The service will be Friday, Dec. 31 at 1 p.m. at St. Paul Baptist Church in Salipta. Interment will follow in the St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery.
