Tommy Caves lays it in for two points against Jackson.

The Clarke County High School Lady Bulldogs moved to 11-2 on the season as they beat county rival Jackson 41- 35 last Saturday night in Grove Hill.

“It was a rivalry game,” head coach Rhonda Wright said. “ They came out and played us very hard and we were forced to make some adjustments. Plus we had some players foul out and that made us change some of the things we were doing.”

Necole Moore led CCHS with 11 points and four rebounds. Jordan Hollins had seven points and seven rebounds. LaJessica Rivers added seven points, two rebounds and four assists. Shanda Pugh had six points, three steals and three assists.

On Friday night the Lady Bulldogs beat Southern Choctaw 52-31 in Grove Hill.

Pugh led the way with 17 points, three steals and three assists. Rivers had eight points. Hollins also had eight points. Tamera Caves had seven points and seven rebounds.

CCHS (11-2) travels to Thomasville Friday night for their area game. Next Tuesday they return home to take on UMS-Wright, also an area opponent. On Friday, Jan. 17 the Bulldogs go to Atmore to play Escambia County. That game was rescheduled from Tuesday night because of the cold weather conditions.
