Grove Hill Baptist Church will continue Vacation Bible School Thursday, June 16 and end Friday, June 17 from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The church is located at 140 South Church Street. See the link at www.grovehillbaptist.org <www.grovehillbaptist.org&gt; to register online.

The Bethel Baptist Association Mass Choir (Southwest District) will have a musical workshop for musicians only at Mt. Zion #2 Baptist Church in Grove Hill Thursday, June 16 and Friday, June 17 at 6 p.m. nightly. They are asking all choir members and musicians to participate. There is no fee. Rev. Cory J. Thomasville Church of Christ located at the corner of 3rd St. and Worl will have a weekend gospel meeting Friday, June 17, Saturday, June 18 and Sunday, June 19. Bro. Justine Roberson of Tuscaloosa will be the guest speaker. Services Friday and Saturday evenings will be at 7:30 p.m. Services on Sunday will be 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and 6 p.m.

The Full Gospel Apostolic Church of God of St. Stephens will host its Women’s Conference 2011 Saturday, June 18 at 9 a.m. The theme will be “Women of Faith Never Walk Alone.” A donation of $10 will be welcomed. The speakers will be first lady, Sister Mary Law, Minister Mattie Crayton and Prophetess Dora Griffin of Mobile. The church motto is “We Walk By Faith And Not By Sight.” Bishop Theodore Law is the pastor.

Grace Chapel Church of Coffeeville will have a congregational-type singing Saturday, June 18 at 6:30 p.m. led by Donald Jackson. Everyone is invited to come and join. Bro. Sonny Hoven is the pastor.

Cedar Point Baptist Church of the West Bend Community will celebrate its pastor’s 16th year anniversary of Rev. and Sis. James Chaney Sunday, June 19. The speaker will be Rev. Scottie McBride of the St. Union Baptist Church of Leroy for the 11 a.m. service and Rev. Robert Thomas of the Great Faith Baptist Church of Sumrall, Miss. will be the guest speaker for the 2:30 p.m. service. Rev. James Chaney is the pastor.

Calvary Independent Baptist Church will celebrate its 20th anniversary Sunday, June 19 at 10:30 a.m. with no Sunday school or evening service. Bro. Gene Livingston will be preaching the service. Lunch will follow at noon. A nursery will be provided. Rev. Rob Frary is the pastor.

St. James AME Church will host Vacation Bible School to be held Monday, June 20 through Wednesday, June 22 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. There will be a $3 registration fee for each child. Please join them for three days of fun and learning more about God’s Word. Rev. Dr. Clausell Boykin is the pastor.

Morning Star Baptist Church will celebrate its Annual Men and Women’s Day Sunday, June 26 at 2 p.m. Rev. Dave Adams of the Greater Mackey Branch No. 2 Baptist Church of Whatley will be the guest speaker. Rev. Bobby England is the pastor.

St. John Baptist Church of Gainestown will have its annual Family and Friends Day Sunday, June 26 at 2 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Sylvester Williams, pastor of Tate Creek Missionary Baptist Church of Little River. Carol T. Jackson is the secretary. Rev. Clayton Davis Sr. is the pastor.
