A sign is up and stakes are driven marking the outline of the new Grove Hill fire station to be built on Church Street south of City Hall. Paperwork for the new facility, being financed with a $2.15 million bond issue, was signed in March and ground was expected to be broken April 1. However, the contractor, Lewis Environmental of Thomasville, has been working to finish up the new Thomasville library and this project has been delayed for several weeks. Perhaps it is about ready to get rolling.
