Quintin Tawaski Crowell, 38, was born Dec. 15, 1984 to LC Crowell and Sheila Beck Crowell in Mobile. Mr. Crowell transitioned from earth to eternity May 24, 2023 at his residence.

A member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church No. 2, he especially enjoyed attending Bible study.

Early in life he attended Jackson AOH Church of God as a child under the leadership of Overseer Frank Mitchell Jr. Later on in life he joined Mt. Olive No.2 Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Stevenson E. Tullis. He was a student of Jackson High School Class of 2003 and graduated from Mira Costa College, Oceanside, Calif.

He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Ty’Qurenun Tawaski Campbell of Frisco City, Ja’Ceanah Marie Crowell and Jo’Hanah Lenese Crowell, both of Grove Hill: two brothers, Lazaarus (An’Dretta) Crowell of Mc Intosh and Lavoris Crowell of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Tarsha King of Jackson; grandparents, Alma Crowell and Mary Sue Stabler, both of Jackson; aunts, Daisy (Alfred) Donald, Irish Stabler and Kitrell (Johnnie) Barnes, all of Jackson; uncles, Kenneth Beck Sr. of Jackson, Roy La Quient (Teresa) Stabler of Jackson, Roy (Teresa) Stabler Jr. of Ft. Myers, Fla., Roy Lee (Cassandra) Stabler Jr. and Kenneth Stabler, both of Mobile; great-aunts, Gladys Lanier of N.Y., Helen Lanier of Aliceville, Edna (James) Dubose, Gracie Mae (Elijah) Thomas, Patricia Beck, Sandra Darrington, Mildred Beck and Gloria Beck, all of Jackson; one greatgreat uncle, the Rev. Jordan Hill of Grove Hill; with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Luther Crowell Sr., Roy Stabler Sr., Polly Nettles and James Darrington; aunts, Arnetta Brown, Linda Lee, Rosie Madison and Betty Crowell; and uncles, Arthur Crowell, Willie Lanier, Abe Nettles, J.D. Nettles, Jimmie Madison and Robert La Roy Stabler.

Public viewing is today, Thursday, June 8, from 1 until 5 p.m., at Jackson Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, June 9, 1 p.m., at Mt. Olive No. 2 Baptist Church in Jackson. Interment to follow in Woodland Cemetery in Jackson.

Final life celebration was entrusted to Jackson Memorial Funeral Home.
